This video will show you how to do a custom server search in Battlefield 1.
Bf 1 allows you to search for a custom server by name.
Under the multiplayer tab, navigate to server browser and select.
Use the appropriate button, for your console (PS4 or XBOX) or PC and choose FILTER in the upper right hand corner.
Scroll down to name and SELECT
Once you have properly selected the box, type in the desired search, either the name or the number of the server you are actually searching for. For the purpose of this howto, we will use server #44305.
Now depending on whether or not you have modified your past FILTERS, or if no one is actually in the server you searched for, your VIEW SERVERS tab might indicate 0. This is because the default SLOTS in Battlefield 1 are 1-5 and 6-10. Now it so happens that this server is empty. I would say that this is a programming bug. When searching for a particular server by name, it should drop all other search criteria and just search for NAME…anyways…that is the way it is…
Now, select the VIEW SERVERS tab.
You will see the searched for server and it is in fact empty.
From here you can enter the server directly OR you can also Favorite the server for future reference.
To FAVORITE the server, select SERVER INFO.
Now select FAVORITE.
Go back to the main SERVER BROWSER screen and select FAVORITES. You should see the server you searched for in there! And there it is!
2 other side notes…
1. Go back to your FILTER and either remove your NAME search OR just reset the filter. Now your server list will be properly populated with current servers. 2. The second note is…your FAVORITES will not be affected if you reset your filter! How awesome is that!
